Weight Management

If only ‘eat less and exercise more’ worked for the most of us, and for those wanting to put on weight ‘just eat more’. Hypnotherapy is a very effective method in managing weight either way.

It works by helping you to concentrate on what’s most important to you in your life, by managing other areas of your life you’re better able to manage your weight. A mind clear of stress and anxiety assures that conscious, healthy decisions are made concerning your eating and drinking habits.

Logically you may already know the things that will help you to reach your weight goals; it may be going to the gym, cutting down on snacking or managing portion size. What it comes down to is that those weight increasing patterns of thought and behaviour which are often driven by emotion are not located in the same part of the brain as logic and rationality. Hypnotherapy helps to bridge the gap between these two parts of the brain. Allowing your conscious and subconscious mind to focus on the same thing.

As part of the therapy you will learn how the brain and body work in relation to the consumption of food and other areas including our reward pathways and the way in which we can develop unwanted patterns of behaviour. By working on small attainable weekly goals, you are better able to meet your weight goals armed with new perspectives and better focus.

As with all hypnotherapy we help to change the subconscious patterns in the brain which will enable you to make lasting changes and educate you enough to stay on top of your weight management even after treatment is over.
